Chicago Film Networking mixer Event hosted by crew call collective
Last night I got to attend the Film Networking Event hosted by Crew Call Collective which consist of Rochelle Cowan, LaToya Hunter, Simeon Henderson, Cory Henderson, and David Leonard. I am the type of person who will talk to everyone in the room. This was a really pleasant experience. Genuinely meeting so amazing people, that I could not wait to message the very next day.
This was great because this gives you the opportunity to connect with people in your field who are just as passionate and eager about creating as you are. I definitely met a few more people who I would love to have on my show “The Plug”. Meeting in-person is hands down way better than internet stalking but in all seriousness, it allows you to get a real vibe of people even if it’s for a brief moment.
I joined the Facebook Group as well to stay up to date on any other events and stay connected to the network. This is amazing for new opportunities working with new people. Although you might be used to wearing all of the hats in your productions I promise you it would be a lot better for you to release some of the workload.
